More About Me

Steve never forgets whom he represents

There are thousands of real estate sales agents in the Northwest MLS that you can hire to represent you. I want to be your adviser in real estate matters. The difference is experience, integrity, knowledge of the processes involved and the actions I take to promote your best interests. With 35 years experience selling homes, I have been called upon to negotiate and solve virtually every problem that can arise in a home sale so that it closes successfully. I have an excellent reputation among my colleagues which has helped numerous times in getting my clients a sale in multiple offer situations or aided them in getting their home sold for the highest feasible price.
An adviser points out options for his clients to pursue and solutions based upon what his previous clients have decided over the years. I have frequently saved my clients money by knowing the cost of repairing defects that arise after a home inspection so that you don't agree to overpay in a negotiation. A trusted adviser knows the escrow process inside and out and can eliminate title issues in the beginning, rather than having problems arise that can delay or sabotage a closing. An adviser stays current with changes in real estate law and WS regulations. These are some of the benefits I bring to you. Experience has value.
If you would like to know how I can assist you, please give me a call or email me through this site. I am ready to help. Thank you.
Steve

A brief Bio

I was born and raised in the Northwest. I have a BA in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and a MSW degree from the University of Washington in Seattle. I moved to Seattle in 1976 when I was working for the federal government counseling returning soldiers who needed vocational rehabilitation. After five years of that service, I started a contract painting company which I ran for several years until I was introduced to real estate sales by a realtor friend. He thought I might be good at it. I have always loved older homes and I enjoy helping people, so it was only natural that I would gravitate to a career in real estate, which I began in 1983. In January, 1984, I decided to specialize in single family homes on Queen Anne Hill because of the character of the homes there, their architectural diversity and the proximity of the Hill to downtown Seattle. It seemed to make sense to focus on a specific niche. Apart from business, I enjoy golf, swimming, weight training, reading and good wine and food. I also have an authentic passion for my work.

With over 35 years of experience selling homes on the Hill, my knowledge, experience and negotiation skills are second to none.
